Honoring our legacy, building our future—where history meets progress.

Founded on Christian faith and the belief that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to call home, Habitat for Humanity of Georgetown County, South Carolina began in 1988 with a small group of dedicated volunteers determined to eliminate poverty housing in our community.
Over the years, we have partnered with more than 650 families, transforming lives and revitalizing neighborhoods. Our unwavering commitment to offering a hand up—not a handout—continues to provide strength, stability, and hope to families in need. Here’s a look at the history and accomplishments that have shaped our past and inspire our future.
